A Memory Foam Mattress Can Create Bed and Breakfast Comfort

If you have recently opened a bed and breakfast or thinking of opening up a guest houses there are a few things that you need to consider in order to make it a success or at least know the challenges ahead that you might face.

Full time job - If you are thinking of running a bed and breakfast aswell as a full time job it may start becoming a problem. If there are two of you it might still be challenging but you might be able to do part time work. There is more to running a guest house than cooking breakfasts.

Preparation - Guests may well arrive late or through the night in some cases. In busy periods you will need to be prepared for the holiday traffic and traffic jams of people getting stuck on the motorways.

Presentation - Before each guest arrives and leaves the bed linen and towels will need to be cleaned and the beds remade. As well as the normal dusting and cleaning mirrors, bathrooms and carpets, all of the units that are used by your guests.

It might be beneficial to invest in mattress protectors to protect any mattresses as spilling accidents do happen. Some guests will inspect the mattress quality and if you have a memory foam mattress that has been spoilt with a drink it will be ruined or at least hard to get the stain out.

Tourist Info - If you are new to the area or visiting the area on holiday, think about what you would like to see as a tourist. You should provide some information booklets and also be on hand to offer advice and little bits of 'inside knowledge' on the area.

These are only some areas of running a bed and breakfast to think about. Ensuring your guests are happy is definately a high priority.
