A Mattress, a Baby and a Loaded Gun: The Sequel
The other week I wrote about how police officers in America raided a house and found a baby sat on a mattress with a gun underneath. Well unfortunately there has been another one.
The incident happened in Chicago when a 5 year old girl was bouncing on a bed that had two mattresses on it when the gun that was hidden between them went off. Sadly the girl was shot in the ankle from the gun going off but is now in good condition. It turns out the gun was registered as stolen but the person who had the gun under the bed turned himself into police and said he found it in an alleyway.
It’s a shame to read about how young children are getting injured because of guns being stored under a mattress. They should be kept in gun cabinets and locked away so that they can’t cause any accidental harm.
I hope there isn’t any more stories like this next time I Google ‘mattress’ or 'memory foam mattresses' stories.

Spring Clean and Include Your Memory Foam Mattress
A new year often means a new start and people think about spring cleaning and de-cluttering before returning to work. If you are taking down the Christmas decorations why not declutter at the same time. Think about re-arranging the bedroom and clear out your wardrobe of things you have not worn for several years. If you re-arrange the bedroom furniture think about flipping the mattress over or consider buying a memory foam mattress.

Memory Foam Mattresses Will Make Santa's Job Easier
Santa has a really hard job to do with delivering presents to the good boys and girls all over the world in one night on his trusted reindeer. As parents or grandparents you can make his job easier by making sure the children get off to sleep as soon as possible and this can be done if you use a memory foam mattress. Once the children are tucked up on these mattresses they will fall asleep, even though they will be so excited.
This will allow Santa to either climb down the chimney or through the front door if access to the chimney is not available and allowing him to visit all the other boys and girls easier as he won't be have to worry about waking up the children.

The Memory Foam Mattress Need Attention Too
As Christmas Day fast approaches households are busy preparing the house by either giving it a good 'winter' clean. Such tasks can include hoovering the carpet where the sofa has hidden alot of dust and dirt that is now exposed as the living room has been re-arranged, to sorting and clearing out the cupboards to make way for all that festive food.
Alot of households also prepare for overnight visitors or those staying over Christmas and we of course are not talking about Santa. If you have visitors then make sure the spare room or guest room is ready with either flipping those mattresses, although this is not needed if you have invested in memory foam mattresses for the bedrooms.
As the tree is decorated and presents wrapped, why not think about the other rooms and getting them prepared. If you know guests are coming why not wrap your memory foam mattress with a cover that can not only provide extra comfort but will also protect the memory foam mattress from wear and general use over Christmas and throughout the next year.
You could also think about protecting the sofa, especially if this is not a wipe clean sofa and invest in some throws. If you are planning a party or house full of guests accidents can happen with a dropped glass or party plate and the more the sofa is covered the better the protection.
Plan and prepare for guests and Santa to make sure your Christmas and new year is as relaxed as possible.

Memory Foam Mattresses For That Inventor - Who Was......
Did you guess who the inventor was? Thomas Edison - the famous American Inventor who is actually known for actually disliking sleep so much. He survived on as little as 5 hours sleep a day, which is probably why he has1093 US patents to his name.
Some of his inventions include the motion picture camera, light bulb, dictaphone, the radio and of course he improved the telephone by his invention of the carbon microphone. Some of his inventions are not originally his - but improvements of earlier inventions.
With all these inventions - we're surprised he didn't need to sleep more and we think if the memory foam mattresses were around in his day he would probably have wanted to sleep more.

Improve Posture With A Memory Foam Mattress
If tyou feel your body slouching when you are looking at your computer or laptop then you should think about taking steps to improve your posture. There are several options for the office and home like chair supports and memory foam mattresses. Here are a few suggestions:
Investing in a good chair - this needs to support your back and you should sit into the chair and not at the end of the seat or in the middle. Consider an extra back support or pillow that will fall off when you move your back and will be more of a prominent incident to improve your posture.
Avoid sitting crosslegged - We all do this and even with the best intentions we naturally end up swinging legs from time to time and ending up sitting cross legged or even crossing ankles.
Set calendar reminders to check your posture from hour to hour if need be - or at least a postit note on your screen to remind you to sit correctly. Eventually it will become second nature but while you are getting into it use the reminders.
At home it might prove more difficult as we tend to relax more at home and this is when posture is challenged. The use of back supports on chairs are good, trying sitting at the table to eat dinners.
Why not end the day with one last attempt to improve posture and make sure your mattress doesn't sag and your pillows are as comfortable and support your neck and spine. If your mattress is old and you have tried flipping it over think about investing in a new memory foam mattress.
